Neck Lift Surgery in Portland Oregon

Neck lift surgery, also known as a lower rhytidectomy, is a popular cosmetic procedure that aims to improve the appearance of the neck and jawline by tightening loose skin, removing excess fat, and repositioning underlying tissues. It can also involve the removal or adjustment of the platysma muscle, which runs down the front of the neck. As with any surgery, it is important for patients to have a clear understanding of the procedure and the potential risks and benefits. Here are some common questions that people ask about neck lift surgery: What are the indications for a neck lift? A neck lift can be used to address a variety of concerns related to the appearance of the neck and jawline. It is most commonly used to address issues such as loose skin, excess fat, and a poorly defined jawline. It can also be used to address a "turkey wattle" or "double chin" caused by excess fat or loose skin. It is important to have realistic expectations for the outcome of the surgery and to be at or near your ideal weight. Who is a good candidate for a neck lift? A good candidate for a neck lift is someone who is in good overall health and has specific concerns about the appearance of their neck and jawline. They should have loose, sagging skin on the neck, excess fat in the neck area, or a poorly defined jawline. It's also important to note that a neck lift is not a weight loss solution, and patients should be at or near their ideal weight before undergoing the procedure. How is a neck lift performed? A neck lift is typically performed under general anesthesia and can take several hours. The specific technique used will depend on the individual's needs, but it may involve incisions made behind the ears and under the chin. Through these incisions, the surgeon will remove excess fat, tighten and reposition the underlying tissues, and remove or adjust the platysma muscle if necessary. What can I expect after a neck lift? After the surgery, patients can expect some swelling, bruising, and discomfort for the first few days. They may also have a tight feeling in the neck, and may be required to wear a compression garment to support the healing process. Most patients return to work within 2 weeks, with full recovery taking around 4-6 weeks. The final results of the surgery can be seen within 3-6 months. How much does a neck lift cost? The cost of a neck lift can vary widely depending on the location of the procedure, the surgeon's experience and reputation, and the specific technique used. On average, the cost ranges from $5,000 to $10,000. It is important to consult with a qualified surgeon to discuss the cost and to understand the specific details of the procedure. Are there any risks associated with a neck lift? As with any surgery, there are risks associated with a neck lift. These can include bleeding, infection, and reactions to anesthesia. It's important to discuss the potential risks and benefits of the procedure with your surgeon before making a decision. Can a neck lift be combined with other procedures? Yes, a neck lift can be combined with other procedures such as a facelift, brow lift, or eyelid surgery to enhance the overall results.

Is A Nose Job Worth It?

The decision to have a nose job (rhinoplasty) is a personal one and should be based on your individual needs, goals, and expectations. For many people, a nose job can be worth it as it can help boost self-confidence, improve breathing, and correct any nasal deformities. It can also help to balance facial features and improve the overall proportion of the face. However, it's important to have realistic expectations about what rhinoplasty can achieve. The procedure can improve the appearance of the nose, but it may not be able to achieve perfection, and it's essential to understand that the final results may not be exactly what you envisioned. It's also important to consider the risks and potential complications of the procedure. Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that carries risks such as infection, bleeding, and anesthesia risks, and there is always a chance that the patient may not be satisfied with the final result. Additionally, it's important to consider the cost and recovery time for the procedure. Rhinoplasty is typically an outpatient procedure, but recovery time can vary from person to person, and it can take several weeks to months to fully recover from the surgery. The best way to decide if a nose job is worth it for you is to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience in performing rhinoplasty. They can help you understand the risks and benefits of the procedure, and help you determine if it's the right option for you.

Is Nasal Surgery For You?

Improved appearance: Rhinoplasty can alter the shape and size of the nose to better match the rest of the facial features, improving the overall aesthetic appearance. Enhanced self-esteem: Some people may feel self-conscious about the shape or size of their nose and may feel more confident after having rhinoplasty. Improved breathing: A nose job can help improve nasal airflow and reduce breathing problems caused by structural abnormalities in the nose. Improved sleep: People with nasal abnormalities may have sleep problems due to difficulty breathing through their nose. Rhinoplasty can help improve sleep quality. Improved function: Rhinoplasty can help correct functional issues with the nose, such as a deviated septum. Reduced snoring: Rhinoplasty can help reduce or eliminate snoring caused by nasal congestion or other structural issues. Improved balance: A nose job can help improve the balance between the nose and the rest of the facial features, creating a more harmonious look. Improved facial symmetry: Rhinoplasty can help correct asymmetry in the nose, improving overall facial symmetry. Reduced sinus issues: A nose job can help alleviate sinus problems caused by structural abnormalities in the nose. Improved self-confidence: Some people may feel more confident and self-assured after having a nose job, which can lead to improvements in social, personal, and professional relationships. Rhinoplasty, also known as a nose job, is a surgical procedure that involves altering the shape and size of the nose to improve its appearance or to correct functional issues. It is one of the most common cosmetic surgeries performed in the United States and is typically performed by a plastic surgeon. There are two main types of rhinoplasty: open and closed. In open rhinoplasty, a small incision is made across the columella, the strip of skin that separates the nostrils. This allows the surgeon to have a better view of the underlying nasal structures and to make more precise changes to the shape of the nose. In closed rhinoplasty, all the incisions are made inside the nostrils, so there are no visible scars. Both approaches have their advantages and disadvantages, and the best option for a particular patient will depend on the specific goals of the surgery and the individual's unique nasal anatomy. Rhinoplasty can be performed for both cosmetic and functional purposes. Common cosmetic goals of the surgery include reducing the size of the nose, changing the shape of the tip of the nose, altering the angle between the nose and the upper lip, and correcting asymmetry. Functional goals may include improving breathing problems caused by structural abnormalities in the nose, such as a deviated septum. Before the surgery, the patient will have a consultation with the surgeon to discuss their goals and expectations for the procedure. The surgeon will examine the patient's nose and take photographs to document the current appearance of the nose. They will also discuss the potential risks and complications of the surgery with the patient. The surgery itself typically takes one to three hours to perform, depending on the complexity of the case. The patient will be given general anesthesia or intravenous sedation to ensure their comfort during the procedure. During the surgery, the surgeon will make the necessary incisions and then carefully reshape the underlying nasal structures using a combination of surgical instruments and suture techniques. If the patient is having a functional issue corrected, such as a deviated septum, the surgeon will address this problem at this time. Once the desired changes have been made, the surgeon will close the incisions and apply a splint to help support the newly shaped nose as it heals. After the surgery, the patient will need to rest and take it easy for a few days to allow their body to heal. They may experience some swelling and bruising around the nose, which should subside within a week or two. The patient will need to follow the surgeon's instructions for caring for the incisions and keeping the area clean. It may take several weeks or even months for the final results of the surgery to be fully apparent, as the swelling will gradually subside and the nose will continue to heal and settle into its new shape. Most patients are able to return to work and other normal activities within a week or two of the surgery, although they should avoid strenuous exercise and other activities that could cause trauma to the nose for several weeks. There are some potential risks and complications associated with rhinoplasty, as with any surgery. These may include infection, bleeding, scarring, and changes in skin sensation. In rare cases, the nose may not heal properly or the patient may be dissatisfied with the results of the surgery. It is important for patients to carefully consider their goals and expectations for the procedure and to choose a skilled, experienced surgeon to minimize the risk of complications. Overall, rhinoplasty can be a very effective way to improve the appearance and function of the nose. It can enhance self-esteem and self-confidence, and it can also improve breathing and sleep quality. If you are considering a nose job, it is

Find the Right Facial Plastic Surgeon

There are a few steps you can take to locate a top plastic surgeon: Get recommendations from your primary care doctor or a trusted medical professional. They may have suggestions for highly qualified plastic surgeons in your area. Look for a plastic surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). This certification indicates that the surgeon has undergone specialized training in plastic surgery and has passed rigorous exams. Research the surgeon's experience and track record. Look for a surgeon who has a lot of experience in the specific procedure you are interested in and has a good track record with positive patient reviews. Consult with several plastic surgeons. It's important to meet with a few different surgeons to get a sense of their approach and style, and to ask questions about the procedure, recovery, and potential risks and complications. Consider the surgeon's location and availability. Make sure the surgeon has privileges at a hospital or surgery center that is convenient for you, and that they have availability for your procedure at a time that works for you. It's also a good idea to ask the surgeon about their fees and payment policies upfront, to ensure that you are comfortable with the costs and can make an informed decision. Rhinoplasty, or nose surgery, can be performed using either an open or closed technique. The main difference between the two approaches is the location of the incisions. In a closed rhinoplasty, all incisions are made inside the nostrils, so there are no visible scars. The surgeon accesses the internal structures of the nose through these incisions and reshapes the cartilage and bone as needed. In an open rhinoplasty, an incision is made across the columella, the strip of skin that separates the nostrils. This allows the surgeon to lift the skin and have better visibility of the internal structures of the nose. The open technique can be more versatile and allow for more precise reshaping of the nose, but it does result in a small scar on the columella. Both techniques can be used to address a wide range of concerns, such as correcting a crooked nose, improving the appearance of a bump on the bridge, or narrowing the nostrils. The appropriate technique will depend on the specific goals and needs of the patient, as well as the surgeon's preference and experience. It's important to discuss the pros and cons of each technique with a plastic surgeon and choose the approach that is best for you.

Rhinoplasty Surgery with Dr Joseph Shvidler

One of the most recognizable aspects on the face is the nose. It serves as the primary structural component of the face's profile and splits the face in half. Feeling uneasy with the way your nose looks can be damaging to your self-esteem and prevent you from living the life you deserve. Rhinoplasty is a three-dimensional procedure that can alter the nose's form to better balance your individual facial features and increase your self-confidence. Dr. Shvidler, a renowned plastic surgeon, has a passion for rhinoplasty and enjoys operating on the nose. He will take on the role of a sculptor to produce a new, natural-looking nose that will enhance your present features and balance the facial proportions. Dr. Shvidler's major objective while doing rhinoplasty surgery is to always provide a very natural-looking, well-balanced outcome that won't be noticeable as having undergone an operation, will leave you feeling confident, but most importantly, will still make you feel like yourself.

Neck Lift Surgery Combined with Rhinoplasty

One of the most important questions you'll have after rhinoplasty is "Will people notice I got rhinoplasty?" The answer depends on the extent of the surgery and whether it will change your nose dramatically. A minor change may not be noticeable to others, but a more pronounced procedure may have noticeable effects. Before you go under the knife, make sure you know what to expect and what you want to achieve. Before you choose your plastic surgeon, it's important to be aware of the risks involved in the surgery. Despite how much plastic surgery can improve your face, you should not expect a dramatic change. The surgeon will work in millimeters, so the outcome isn't drastic. The procedure can help correct a small hump on the bridge of the nose or a large humps. After rhinoplasty, you'll have a few scars, and you'll probably be very sensitive to the results. The procedure can leave a noticeable scar, and the surgery itself can be painful. However, the result is a permanent change that will improve your appearance and your confidence. The procedure will also make your face appear more youthful and beautiful. And if you're worried about how other people will react to the new look, you should ask your surgeon if you'll be able to hide the results in public. Rhinoplasty can improve your appearance, but the results will vary depending on your cosmetic surgeon and what you want. Most people will never notice you got rhinoplasty, but the results are not permanent. As long as the procedure is done correctly, you shouldn't be concerned about people noticing your nose change. This procedure is a major commitment, but it's well worth it in the end. You'll have a natural-looking nose that no one will even notice you have had a surgical procedure. The procedure isn't likely to change your nose drastically. The surgeon will make tiny changes, such as making your nose appear smaller or wider. The procedure will also improve the shape and size of your face. The surgeon will make sure you're happy with the results. Then, it's time to think about your expectations. Once you've chosen a cosmetic surgeon, you'll see how the results look. Luckily, rhinoplasty is an outpatient surgery. It will only take a few hours to complete under general anesthesia, and you'll be able to return home the same day. You'll need to wear bandages and gauze around your nostrils while you recover. You'll need to drink plenty of water during the recovery period, and you'll have to take painkillers. If you do not feel comfortable with this type of anesthesia, you shouldn't have the surgery.

Ethnic Rhinoplasty

What Is Ethnic Rhinoplasty and How Does It Work? When it comes to plastic surgery, particularly rhinoplasty, many people want to keep their ethnic identity. Despite this, most plastic surgeons focus their rhinoplasty surgeries on the "American" nose type. These surgeons ignore the notion that noses vary in appearance depending on ethnicity and have distinct qualities that people prefer to keep after surgery. Ethnic rhinoplasty, often known as ethnic nose surgery or ethnic nose job, is a type of nose surgery. Individuals of various ethnicities can benefit from bespoke rhinoplasty surgery thanks to ethnic nose jobs. However, ethnic rhinoplasty surgery is not a one-size-fits-all procedure. There are a variety of nose types based on ethnicity. As a result, ethnic plastic surgery must be customized to the nose and other facial features of the patient. Dr. Portuese performs nose surgery on people of various ethnic origins. Dr. Portuese's purpose remains the same regardless of the ethnicity of his patients. He wants every rhinoplasty patient to have a nose that fits their face and functions properly. Dr. Azizzadeh works tirelessly on behalf of his patient to achieve his goal. He does everything he can to assist his patient in achieving their ethnic nose job treatment goals. Dr. Portuese confirms that his patient will profit from a beautiful and functioning nose well into the future. Ethnicity-Based Nose Types There is frequently a link between facial characteristics and ethnicity. People can have noses of various sizes and forms, which is partly linked to ethnicity. A Caucasian nose, for example, is narrow, whereas an African American nose is flat. For both Caucasian and non-Caucasian patients, it is critical that the nose functions well and appears proportional to the rest of the face. People may, however, seek ethnic plastic surgery in the hopes of rejuvenating their facial appearance. On the other hand, an ethnic nose rhinoplasty technique may be done to downsize or reshape the nose and improve breathing function in some cases. Dr. Portuese has conducted nose surgery on people of many ethnic backgrounds. If a patient is thinking of getting an ethnic nose operation, he can offer advice. Dr. Portuese can also evaluate a patient to see whether they are a good candidate for ethnic nose surgery or other facial rejuvenation operations.

The Seattle Facial Plastic Surgery Center

Rhinoplasty, generally known as nose surgery, is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures, and with good reason. The nose is the most noticeable part of the face, and it has a significant influence on overall appearance. People have strong feelings about their noses, and many have contemplated the prospect of changing it for years. An unintentional nose fracture, for example, may prompt a patient to explore rhinoplasty in Seattle WA. Other patients are troubled by nasal functionality and wish they could breathe more easily. Patients are occasionally concerned that their nose has grown slowly over the years and is no longer youthful in appearance. With thorough inspection, analysis, and competence, each of these concerns can be handled.

At my Seattle  practice, I'd be delighted to meet with you in person to discuss rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. To schedule a consultation, please fill out the form below or call us at (206) 624-6200

Candidates for Nose Surgery
Nasal surgery is considered by patients of all ages. Before undergoing rhinoplasty, it is advisable to wait until the patient's nose has fully matured. For women, this is normally by the age of 16, and for men, it is usually a year or two later. The late teens and early twenties are the most common age range for rhinoplasty. Improved nose look generally leads to major changes in self-confidence in this age bracket, in my experience. These individuals are overjoyed when their breathing improves as well

The other type of rhinoplasty patient I see is someone who is a little older. Often, their nose has been a source of concern for them for a long time, but they're looking for a more subtle alteration at this point in their lives. Other times, people may notice that their nose is larger and droopier than it formerly was, and that it is beginning to resemble their parents' looks rather than the way it was in their high school yearbook. It gives me great pleasure to assist these patients in achieving natural-looking rhinoplasty results

Recovery
Following their treatment in Seattle, patients recover fast. Splints for nose surgery are removed 4 to 6 days after surgery, at which point many patients return to work. Although the patients appear to be doing well even at this early stage, the results improve over the course of a year.

Risks
In my experience, complications from nose reshaping are uncommon.
Rhinoplasty complications include bleeding, infection, breathing difficulties, and asymmetry.
Each of these issues can be adequately treated.

Non-Surgical Enhancement
Beyond plastic surgery, we have a wide range of skills. Our professional, experienced team of aesthetic providers administers a wide range of non-surgical procedures under the supervision of board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. William Portuese.

If you have a specific therapy in mind, have a look at our full list of non-surgical options.

Facial plastic and Reconstructive surgery is a specialized area of medicine dedicated to improving the appearance of disfigured faces and repairing facial injuries. Facial plastic and Reconstructive surgery are the leading specialty in plastic surgery. Facial plastic and Reconstructive surgery had increased dramatically in popularity over the last decade. This increase in popularity has also increased competition among plastic surgeons practicing this specialty. Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery is performed on an outpatient basis.

Facial plastic and Reconstructive surgery are not a niche, it is a very large field of plastic surgery. It involves the field of fillers and dermal filler techniques. Fillers can be used to improve the depth of lines and wrinkles, smooth out scars, plump lips, or make other small, aesthetic improvements. Dermal fillers are used to enhance the skin's elasticity and decrease the appearance of saggy or droopy skin. There are numerous different types of dermal fillers available, including Restylane, Juvederm, Botox, Polylactic Acid, Restylane Hydrogel, and Cosmetic Collagen.

Many times facial plastic surgery is performed to fix problems with the nose. One of the most common problems is enlarged or sunken nasal septum. Typically the surgeons use a combination of methods to enlarge the septum and improve its appearance and functionality.

Facelifts are one of the main procedures of facial plastic surgery. They are used to rejuvenate the aging face and eliminate the signs of aging such as crow's feet, frown lines, wrinkles, loose skin, and sagging skin. A number of different techniques can be used in facelifts to tighten the skin and lift unwanted facial structures. The more invasive procedures such as chin implants and eyebrow lifts require general anesthesia.

The field of facial plastic surgery is largely driven by an increase in aesthetic values and a desire to improve self-confidence through correcting aspects of the face that are less than desirable. In some areas of the world, facial plastic surgery is done in conjunction with rhinoplasty (correcting the nose), mentoplasty (correcting the jaw line), or aponeurotomy (correcting the cheek implants). In some areas of the world such as Japan and Thailand, however, it is largely driven by the need to achieve a younger and slimmer appearance. Cosmetic surgery Procedures such as cheek implants are done to shorten the facial skin and lift it in an attempt to improve cheek volume and reduce the fat deposits that make the face appear too round or too long. In the United States, more patients request rhinoplasty surgeries.

Facial fillers are generally applied to the skin using the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) or laser beam. Various techniques are used to manipulate the fillers such as using a punch to liquefy the material, injecting it or simply working it into place. Most IPL techniques are used to add or increase volume to fillers to enhance or plump up a sagging or aging face. Because of the nature of the fillers, however, it is important that a patient select the fillers that best fit their skin in order to obtain the most effective result.
